North Park Pres Men’s Retreat 2025

Our men's retreats are a great way to spend time with and get to know other guys at North Park Pres. They're intended to be a chance to disconnect from the stress of normal life and connect with like-minded brothers as we seek to love Jesus together. During this year's retreat will be dwelling on Jesus' words in Matthew 6:19-24 in which He admonishes us to orient our hearts toward the things of heaven. We will be unpacking the robust hope we have in the kingdom and how it bears fruit in our lives. We hope you can join us!

The retreat will take place from Thursday evening, October 16th through Saturday morning, October 18th in Big Bear, California. Registration cost is $150 and includes lodging, food, and a gift!

FAQ

  • The purpose of this retreat is to take time out of our often hectic, demanding schedules and to be intentional about beholding Christ. You can expect a slow, but structured pace where you are invited to take part in any and all events of the weekend that feel spiritually & physically restful and rejuvenating for you. Please review the detailed schedule for a full list of events!

  • Young men ages 12 and over are allowed! However, age-specific activities and accommodations are not planned for them. We encourage the boys in attendance to participate in all activities with the men.

  • In an effort to preserve the integrity of the event, we are limiting participation to full participation only. We are always looking for participants and hosts for local events. If this is of interest to you, please check our church calendar as it is frequently updated with new events. This year we also have a strict limit on parking due to the policies of the City of Big Bear, and we will be planning a carpool to stay within these limits. You will receive more information as the date approaches.

  • October is a beautiful month in Big Bear so plan for warm/temperate weather in the day, and cooler temperatures by a campfire at night. Feel free to bring your favorite snacks or drinks, as eating will likely monopolize most of our time ;) Bring anything you’d like to relax: a good book, a cigar, that adult Lego set you’ve been looking for time to assemble, whatever will make this a restful weekend!

  • All meals will be provided during the retreat. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions on your registration form.

  • Yeah! We do not want finances to keep you from taking part in this retreat. If you are in need of financial assistance in order to attend, you can use the discount code MENSRETREAT2025 when you register to receive a full discount.

  • Absolutely! If you would like to donate toward the cost of a scholarship for another guest, you can add one in addition to your regular registration selection on the form. If you have any questions, please reach out to Alyssa Henkens, alyssa@northparkpres.com.

  • Yes! If you cancel prior to 28 September, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel between 29 September and 15 October, you will receive a refund minus the cost of swag (the swag will be yours to keep!).
